GPHOA Pool & Tennis Court Area

The Gunners Pond pool and tennis court are quietly tucked away from the street and nestled next to a large forest area that shadows the pool deck and tennis court in the afternoon. However that doesn't stop the pool deck from being very hot during the day, so bring sandals or flip-flops, or else your bare feet will let you know just how hot it is! This is Georgia you know!

A neighborhood pool adds value to every home in a community, and we intend to keep the pool operating at peak performance so that all Gunners Pond residents benefit from its existence.

Pool area access is gained by a key provided by the GPHOA, to paying members in good standing. If you lose your key, please contact us first. It is against the GPHOA pool policy for any member to make COPIES OF ANY POOL KEYS.

All GPHA communal areas, amenities, and facilities are to be used at your own risk. This includes but is not limited to the pond, recreation areas and playground equipment, pool area, and tennis court.

Additional pool information

The following are common courtesy rules, please abide by them:

WARNING - NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY!
Please lower all umbrellas, even if you didn't raise them. Wind can easily destroy them. If you are the last person to leave, ensure all umbrellas are lowered.
Clean up all trash.
In general, the pool area should be kept tidy enough such that it appears no one was ever even there.
Ensure that the float line is re-installed if you are the last to leave.
Please do not let children or otherwise use the pool as a toilet. The porta-potty near the parking area is our only solution.
No smoking on the pool deck. Smoking only permitted outside the pool fence.
The pool is for the private use of GPHOA members and their guests, as accompanied by said members.
No head-first diving is allowed.
Ensure that the pool light is turned off if you are the last to leave.
All swimmers use the pool at their own risk.
GPHOA is not responsible for any accident or injury due to pool use.

These are a compilation are required Cherokee County pool rules and ones that are applicable to Gunners Pond:

Parents/guardians must ensure that infants/children using the pool do NOT have a diarrheal illness.
All infants/children, not toilet trained and incontinent individuals must wear swim diapers or plastic swim pants.
WARNING - NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY!
No glass, sharp objects, or hazardous materials allowed on the pool deck.
Children under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
No food or drink allowed within five feet (5’) of the pool.
No animals are other than service animals allowed in the pool area.
Bathers with open wounds, skin conditions, or any communicable condition not allowed to swim.
No solo bathing.
Bathers shall wear bathing attire.
No spitting, spouting, or blowing nose.
No running or rough play allowed.
The maximum bather load is 51.
Pool hours are from 9 am to 9 pm, or from dawn to dusk, whichever is greater.
